Shoe makeover!

Howdy! Awhile back I bought these black flats to wear to an interview. They were a bout 8 bucks and super plain. I just needed plain somewhat nice shoes for interview-type things. I thought that I could wear these for days I wanted to be a bit dressier, but still casual also. But they were just too plain-jane for me. So I decided to spruce them up a bit!

See what I mean? Rather plain. They do have a nice bow, but you can hardly tell since it's the same colour as the rest of the shoe.
I first taped around the area I wanted to paint
Being sure to tape right underneath it
After one coat the bow got much lighter, but not light enough
After the second coat it again, got much lighter, but not light enough
I think I did one last coat before I removed the tape. Much better!
And then I snipped the bow for added cuteness :)

As you can probably tell from the lighting in the photos, this little project took a full day to do (well afternoon to evening that is). The only reason why it took so long was to let the paint dry.

I was thinking of maybe adding a scalloped line on the back in white also!  Or maybe black polka dots do the bow, the possibilities are endless!

Happy crafting! xoxo

This bathing suit is so adorable! Love the straplessness, the high-waistedness, the floral pattern, the colours, the everything!

I'm just loving these flats from ASOS!

Check out this broach! I love little faces :D

This cream and sugar set is so perfect!

I'm not sure how often I'd used it, but it'd still be fun do play around with this nail stamper

Need this skirt for 3 reasons: 1 it's leopard, 2 it's spinny and 3 it's cheap!

Gem stone things?

Heyo! Awhile back I was all stressed and freaking out. So of course, I grabbed my craft box. Wasn't sure what I'd end up with but I kept at it. In the end I got these cool gem stone thingies. Still not too sure what do do with them yet, I'm sure I'll find a use for 'em!

I used:
  • paint chips
  • reflectively card stock (this came with my ice cube tray!) or you could just use more paint chips
  • Scissors
  • glue stick

(You don't need the string [pictured], unless you're making garland)

Start my cutting the paint chips into rock shapes.
Kinda like a circle, but with 6 or so straight snips going around

Next place your gem things onto the reflective card stock and cut along the gem either leaving a bit of space or no space at all. For the ones that I that I didn't leave any extra space, I trimmed the relfective card stock so it's smaller than the paint chip.

Using glue attach the paint chip gem with the reflective gem. And you'll have something that looks like this! Some with a relectivey outline, and some with a reflectivey centre! Then some without any reflectiveness (cuz I run out :P)

I can see these on some organizing box or maybe on the back of a chair or something. Or as cute garland!

Ta-da! Pretty neat, huh? And super duper simple. Hope you all liked this simple tutorial and have a fabulous Friday!

Cherry Blossom/Arizona nails

Inspired by the oh so well known and oh so tasty Arizona iced tea bottles. And also kind of inspired by MissJenFABULOUS's mix n match nails.

I painted my nails white and let them dry
Then painted turquoise and white onto a sponge, and dapped it into my nails
Once that was dry I used a black nail art pen to draw on the tree
I then used a small dotting tool and pink nail polish to make the flowers
Then added a tiny bit of black in the centre of the flowers, using an smaller dotting tool

For the striped nail I painted my nail white, let it dry completely
Then cut tape into thin stripes, put them on my nails, spacing them out evenly
Then painted black on top then took of the tape

Add a top coat once everything is dry and finito! :)
